PCSI Membership

By registering to our conference you have become part of the PCSI family and we look forward to informing you about future PCSI events so that we can contribute to and learn from you and your country’s casemix experiences.

Event scheduling policy

Official conference events:

  1. The official conference schedule, including sessions, workshops, and keynote presentations, has been carefully designed to maximize the learning and networking opportunities for all participants. Delegates are encouraged to actively participate in these scheduled events.
  2. Organizing alternative events or activities that conflict with official conference sessions is discouraged to avoid scheduling conflicts and ensure all participants have equal access to the full conference program.

Organizing side meetings or events:

  1. If delegates wish to organize side meetings or events during the conference, they are encouraged to do so outside of the official conference program hours to minimize disruptions to the core conference activities (including conference social events).
  2. Delegates organizing side events or meetings should ensure that these do not compete with or overlap official conference sessions.

Prior approval for side events:

  1. If delegates plan to organize side events that may require the use of conference facilities or resources, they must seek prior approval from the conference organizers to ensure proper coordination and avoid any logistical conflicts.
  2. The conference organizers will endeavor to accommodate reasonable requests for side events, provided they do not negatively impact the official conference schedule or the experience of other participants.

Consequences of policy violations:

  1. Any delegate found in violation of this policy may be excluded from future conference events.

By attending the 36th PCSI conference, you acknowledge and agree to abide by this Event scheduling policy. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a positive and respectful experience for all conference participants.

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) policy

The conference organisers  have taken all practicable steps to minimise disruptions relating to (COVID-19) and will continue to actively monitor the situation in the lead up to the PCSI Conference 2024. In the event that PCSI/ZZZS/NCC decide, at their absolute discretion, that the in-person conference must be cancelled, delegates will be informed with appropriate notice and all in-person registrations will be transferred to virtual attendance.

All delegates are required to follow directions and comply with mandates relating to any Slovenian government COVID-19 policy and the instructions of the Rikli Balance Hotel. While the conference organisers will provide information on any such restrictions where it can, it is the responsibility of delegates to stay informed of their obligations and requirements.

Cancellation, refund and transfer policy

Cancellation requests from delegates

Any delegate who has paid in full and wishes to cancel their registration 6 weeks or longer before the conference (12 April 2024) is entitled to a refund of the conference registration fees minus a 10% administration fee and minus the PCSI membership fee (€80). Following 12 April 2024, no part of the registration fee is refundable.

Note that in the case of cancellation, PCSI, nor ZZZS, nor NCC are responsible for any losses related to hotel bookings, airlines and other booked services. It is a delegate’s responsibility to check the policies of organisations providing these services before booking and/or ensure coverage through travel insurance from financial losses due to cancellation.

All registration cancellations and amendments must be made in writing to the conference organisers at at least 6 weeks before the start of the conference.

Cancellation due to government mandates

Refunds will not be available after 12 April 2024 unless a delegate is unable to attend in-person due to government mandates involving travel restrictions, border closures or lockdown requirements.  In these circumstances, the conference organisers must be informed in writing as soon as possible after a delegate becomes aware of such a mandate by email to for full reimbursement.

As noted previously, PCSI, nor ZZZS, nor NCC are responsible for any losses related to hotel bookings, airlines and other booked services. It is a delegate’s responsibility to check the policies of organisations providing these services before booking and/or ensure coverage through travel insurance from financial losses due to cancellation.

Transfer of registration

Delegates who are unable to attend the conference may nominate a substitute to take their place by emailing with the details of their replacement.

Cancellation by PCSI/ZZZS/NCC

The conference may be cancelled, varied, rescheduled or postponed at PCSI’s/ZZZS’/NCC’s absolute discretion. PCSI/ZZZS/NCC reserve the right to transfer the registration to the postponed conference. Should the new conference dates not be suitable, the delegate may request a full refund, so long as this is requested in emailing within 7 days of  the delegate being notified of the new conference dates.

Conference social media policy

At the conference we encourage delegates to capture and share their experiences on social media platforms to foster engagement and collaboration. However, we respect the privacy and preferences of our participants. Therefore, we have implemented a policy regarding the use of photos and videos taken during the conference.

 

Delegate responsibility:

As a delegate, you are responsible for your own actions in taking and sharing photos or videos on social media. Please be mindful and respectful of fellow participants’ privacy and preferences when capturing and posting content.

 

Privacy preference:

We understand that some delegates may prefer not to have their images shared on social media. If you do not wish to have images of yourself shared, kindly inform the conference reception. We will make every effort to respect your privacy and ensure that your preference is honoured.

 

Individual responsibility:

PCSI, ZZZS and NCC do not take responsibility for photos or videos taken and shared by individual delegates. Each participant is solely responsible for obtaining appropriate permissions, if necessary, and ensuring that they comply with legal and ethical guidelines regarding the use of images.

 

Respect and professionalism:

When taking and sharing photos or videos, we kindly request all delegates to maintain a respectful and professional approach. Avoid capturing sensitive or confidential information, and refrain from posting content that may be offensive, discriminatory, or infringing upon intellectual property rights.

 

Attribution and tagging:

If you choose to share photos or videos related to the conference on social media, we encourage you to mention the event, use official hashtags, and tag the conference’s official social media accounts whenever applicable. This helps create a sense of community and allows others to engage with your content.
